Christmas Morning

I was so surprised this morning when the kids actually waited until the sun was up before they woke up ready for present time! I made them wait in the room so that I could have my camera ready! Once Colton saw his train table, he saw nothing else! We had to persuade him for a long time to even get him to open the rest of his presents. Here are some shots I got of them opening and playing with their new goodies!

Waking Up Christmas Morning

This one is pretty long....but there is a pretty funny part at the end when Rob was trying to get Colton's toy to work....Pay close attention when he picks up the football! LOL!

Fun in the Snow!

Christmas Eve at the Church

On Christmas Eve, Rob and I took the kids to the Woodlands Church to have a little Christmas fun and remember the true meaning of Christmas. Just as we were getting out of the car, a few snow flurries began to fall. Allie and I thought it was a Christmas miracle! Luckily since that tiny bit of snow was not going to stick, the church had brought in a bunch of snow for the kids to play in. It was really cool to be able to experience a snowy Christmas Eve here in Texas. We also took Colton in to see Santa. I was really glad he was there, because with all the hustle and bustle, I had not had a chance to take him to sit on Santa's lap yet. Colton was so cute and excited! He was so brave and walked up there all by himself and climbed on his lap. We were the only ones in line at that time, so Santa was able to visit with Colton for a while before we had to leave. Allie stuck to her guns and refused to take a picture with him(she had already warned me that she would not be taking a picture with Santa this year). She told me quietly so that Colton wouldn't hear that she knew for sure that was not the real Santa, because he was already delivering presents...We had checked out the NORAD track earlier and found out that he was in Scandinavia! We had a lot of fun and went home for a yummy dinner before watching some Christmas movies until bedtime! Colton fell fast asleep, but it took Allie a while....she really wanted to stay up and catch a glimpse of the big man himself ;O)

Allie's Letter that she left for Santa with her cookies....and he wrote a letter back!

The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care!

Our banister all decked out for Christmas Morning!(With Allie's coat hanging on the end)

Our tree without a single present(Colton kept opening them!)

Colton decided to get into the snuggly with his sister!

Allie found my snuggly to be a cozy place to read her Christmas book!

Remembering the true meaning of Christmas!

Reminds me of the photo from last year.

Making real Snow Angels!

The wind was blowing hard and it was FREEZING!!!

Allie thinking about throwing a snowball at me!

She decided she better throw it somewhere else :o)

After seeing her brother getting up close and personal with all the characters, Allie decided to make her mother happy and pose with at least one!

Colton with his pal Santa!

Thinking about what he wants....A Choo Choo Train!

Hello Santa!

What a big boy...he wasn't even scared to go up by himself!

Colton decided that Rudolph was okay because Mommy had a picture of him on her shirt. There was an elf there, but he thought that one was a bit creepy!

My pride and joys!

Me and my boy!

Waiting until time to see Santa!

I just couldn't resist taping this. I was cooking washing up Christmas Eve dinner dishes and heard reading coming from the living room...I know the video is dark, but I didn't want to disturb them by turning on the light. IF you can't tell, Rob and Colton are laying on the couch together and Rob is reading him a Christmas Story! So Sweet!

Colton Learns to Ride His Bike!!

Ok...So this week while Colton was home with Daddy, he learned to ride his bike really well. Today was my first day to see him, so of course I had to get the video camera out to capture this great moment. The first video went really well. Then I decided that I wanted to see his cute face while he was riding his bike, so I ran along side of him.......Well, I am sure those of you who know me well know what happened next. Luckily it was all caught on tape for your viewing pleasure! There is one part of the video where Rob tells Allie to get her butt over here because she didn't want to put a helmet on....sure glad that made it on the movie! Anyway, the whole thing was just too funny not to share! Enjoy!

Christmas Fun!

Tonight I took Allie and Colton to a Christmas Pageant at a church that one of my students goes to. He asked me to come see him in the play. The kids had a good time before it started with some of the activities they had set up. Colton especially enjoyed storytime with Mrs. Christmas. Allie and I were laughing because he kept asking questions during the story. All of you teachers out there will recognize him as that kid in the class who just won't be quiet long enough for you to finish a page on the story....that would be my son! Makes a mother proud! I couldn't help but take a short video of it. The kids also got to put icing on a cookie and decorate it. Unfortunately by the time we went in to see the show, Colton was tired and we had to leave early. I did enjoy the part we saw and Allie was a bit bummed that we had to leave early.

SNOW!!!!

I can't believe that we got snow here in Texas 2 years in a row!!!! Today was a school day, so most of the fun happened there, but Rob was able to get a couple of pictures of Colton playing in the snow at home, and I got some with Allie at school. Rob picked her up a little early and brought her home to play some too. I rushed home once school was over and was able to join in on the fun for a bit before it stopped. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures and videos!

Allie at school playing in the snow with friends....and Colton talking about playing with Snowballs, which he pronounces without the S! LOL!
