We had pajama day at school today. Colton looked so cute in his bulldog jammies that I sent him to the baby sitter's house wearing them.

Colton had his first haircut today. He was SO GOOD! I was very proud of him, but it did make me tear up a little seeing my baby look like a little man!

We went to the Rennaisance(sp?) festival today. Rob's parents went with us. Allie was a bit disappointed that there weren't many rides...I think she is spoiled with Disney! Anyway, it didn't help much that the first thing we put her on scared her to death. The video shows her feeling scared, BUT I missed the part where she yelled at the man"LET ME DOWN NOW!!!!!" Rob and I were trying to hide behind a bush so people wouldn't know she was ours! Ha! Ha! Anyway, we ended up having a fun time on the family-size tree swing.

Allie presented a report on Christopher Columbus to her class. She was wearing my HUGE shirt so her pumpkin is showing--just pretend she looks like Columbus! Ha! Ha! At least the kids in her class thought she did.

Today we went to Robin and Bobby's wedding. We had a lot of fun seeing family members that we hadn't seen in a while. Everyone got a kick out of seeing me without my hair! Allie and I took turns riding a new thing called a trike. It was hard to get the hang of at first, but Chris showed us how to do it. Of course he is already a pro at it after just one day. Allie is determined to add one of those trikes to her Christmas List for Santa. I wonder if Santa will be able to swing that one. As for me, the only thing I want on my Christmas list is for all of us to able to go skiing this winter with my brother Chris and Bonnie and Novie. I think it would be an awesome time, and something that we could all do as a family. I know Allie and Colton would be thrilled to see the snow. I am not sure if Santa will be able to swing that one with the cost of it all, but that won't keep me from wishing!

Colton had a GIANT Hot dog from Katz. He loved it although I think he
had more than half left over!
Allie had to make a Flat Allie doll for school. We got in a big fight over using her picture as her face. It looks cute that way right????? Of course my little princess
insisted that she had to be wearing a crown!

Today we had an author come visit Allie's school. He was a firefighter. Allie got picked to demonstrate how to stop, drop, and roll! She did an awesome job.

Here are some pictures of Hurricane Ike recovery for us. We had to sleep on a pallet in our tiny office area. We ended up sitting in our garage watching the storm! We were so stir crazy. Allie and Colton got out and played in the
light rain for a little while. Colton couldn't wait to get out there and help out dad cleaning things.

Today Allie and I wore our college shirts to school. She wore a UT shirt for Rob--I am going to have to order her a Tech shirt for next year!!!! We also went to eat at Ronnie and Mom's new restaurant. It is called Fish Pond Restaurant. It is in New Waverly. Things were really crazy. While we were there, breakers in the kitchen blew and tea went all over the floor. Ronnie held it together and still managed to get our food and another family's food out in good time. IT WAS YUMMY!! When we were leaving, 2 more sets of people were coming in. I think it is going to be a great restaurant!

I just created this blog to try and keep family in touch with things going on with our little family. Today Colton gave me such a surprise. We were eating dinner and he looked at me and said "Momma! I Lub oooo!" I was so happy to hear it!! He is such a sweet baby. Hope everyone enjoys our new blog!
