Allie's 9th Birthday!

Allie chose to have a sleepover again this year for her birthday. This year she chose to have a cooking theme so we transformed our house into Allie's Cafe! She had a great time with 11 of her friends. Check out the great pictures we got from the night!

My little Dancing King

Colton couldn't resist showing off some of his dance moves!

Allie's Dance Camp 2010

Allie had a great time a few weeks ago at dance camp. Her entire team went to learn all of their dances and have a good time while they were at it! She was able to do some horseback riding and swimming while she was there. She also had a night roasting marshmallows. She made me this video the first day.

River Trip

This summer we took a trip to Concan with the family. It was so nice to get away and spend some time together to start out our summer. The kids really enjoyed themselves just relaxing on the back porch and splashing in the river. I don't think they stopped smiling the entire time. Colton was just a baby the last time we went but we will definitely be going more often now that he is getting bigger. Allie and Rob took a kayak trip down the river for the first time. I was a little nervous to let her go, but she is such a strong swimmer now so I was sure it would be fine. They made it the whole way without flipping over. Of course Colton was jealous, so we let him have a VERY short trip right in front of the house.

Colton did the funniest thing tonight and I just had to write it down before I forgot it....First off anyone who knows him well, knows that he is completely obsessed with milk and juice. I always say he never really got off the bottle, only used a sippy cup instead. Well tonight, he had already had 2 cups of juice and a cup of milk and it was getting close to bedtime. Anytime he gets sleepy, he always wants a drink, but lately he has had a few accidents during the night so I have been limiting him earlier in the night so he can make it without any bedwetting. So tonight we went through him coming to ask me for a drink and me saying no many times. He even tried the I am so cute face and I didn't break. I thought I had won the battle when here he came again.....All he said was "What's up?" with a grin! I started giggling and he said" What's up with those bottles in the refrigerator?" I started laughing again and then he pointed over his shoulder and said" This kid behind be is REALLY thirsty" I said, "What kid?" He said, "This baby kid behind me....He really needs some milk or juice." He had a completely serious look on his face until I started laughing and then he grinned.......and yes, I gave him some milk! I caved! I coudn't help it...Anyone that works that had for a glass of milk deserves it!

Allie's School Project

Allie had to do a project for school over the state of Florida. She wanted to be a reporter so I showed her how to make a smilebox that included video. She wrote all of the scripts for the videos herself. It was a lot of fun to watch her get so creative! Check it out!

A Day full of Colton!

We had a great Sunday here at home. The kids spent the day playing in the backyard together. Colton was in full swing today. I wanted to post because I don't want to forget these cute little things as he gets older. While the kids were playing outside, I heard a tiny knock on the back door. I turned around and looked out the window to see Colton with a flower behind his back.

Then as I opened the door I was greeted with a happy little smile!
He sure knows how to melt his momma's heart! He also impressed me later today when he was waiting for his spaghettios to finish cooking. I told him he had to wait for them to cool down so that he wouldn't burn his tongue. He came in a few minutes later telling me "It's 7 9 momma, It's ready." I went to get it out of the microwave and noticed that the clock on the stove said 7:09....I asked him where does it say 7 9? He pointed at the clock..."Right there!" MY smart little man! Then I was getting ready to steam-clean the carpets, and I couldn't remember how to lower the handle....He was in the room watching me as I searched for the way to do it. After watching me for a few seconds, he walked over and put his little foot on the button and lowered the handle down with a grin! That little tooter! Then when he was in the bathtub with Allie, Rob went in to check on them and jokingly asked Colton if he pooped in the tub and without skipping a beat he said "No but I pee peed in the tub!" This got quite a reaction from Allie! Just when I thought he couldn't be any cuter today, he came in and said I brushed my hair......Here is the picture of what he did!

Somedays it makes me so sad that he is growing into such a big boy, but I have to admit that seeing him do so many smart things definitely makes my heart skip a beat. I don't know how I ended up so lucky, but I sure that God everyday that he gave me both of my wonderful children.

Allie's Dance Competition

Yesterday was Allie's first Dance Competition in 2 years. She did really great! She was barely nervous and had a lot of fun! I was so totally proud of her and her team. I was able to video 2 of her dances, but the second one is a bad video because I got to watching her and realized at one point that the video was shooting over their heads! I thought I would share it anyway!

Colton Tells His Own Story

I just had to share this video with everyone. Colton decided the other day that he wanted to tell me a story about Santa....I heard him talk about the reindeer and his train. He also talks about Santa coming down the chimney and hitting his head. Then later in the story, I think Santa gets stuck in a cave. It is quite an adventure....just listen and see if you can understand it all :o)
