Allie finally lost her 2 front teeth! It was a long time coming considering the first one became loose a year ago! The first one came out on Thursday and now the second one fell out this morning. Here is a picture of her new smile.

Day with Novie

Today we had a fun day with my great-aunt Novie. She came over and took the kids and me out to lunch at our usual spot..Olive Garden. We planned to go to the children's museum in Houston, but by the time we got there, we saw a line that was the length of the building. We took one look at that line and decided to find something else to do. Not to mention we were on the brink of mutiny in the backseat with declarations of it being the worst spring break ever coming from Allie. We tossed around lots of ideas and ended up deciding to come back to the Woodlands and going to the children's museum in the mall. We ended up getting a little turned around downtown and spent quite a while driving in circles until we finally found an entrance to the freeway. Poor Colton gave up and fell asleep. The good news is that Allie finally lost her front tooth that she has been working on FOREVER while we were driving aimlessly. Anyway, we finally made it back to the other museum which is only 15 min from my house, but by this time took us 2 hours to get to....it was quite comical. Colton had a blast digging for dinosaurs and then cooking vegetables in the tool chest....Rob would be less than pleased that he thought it was a microwave instead of somewhere for the tools....but Novie and I thought it was cute! Allie found out that she has outgrown this museum and was a little perplexed as to what to do, but she eventually had fun playing restaurant and serving us dinner. By the time we left the museum it was dinner time so we headed over to Chick-fil-a to eat. All in all, it was a great day! THANKS NOVIE!!

Livestock Show

Today Rob and I took the kids to the livestock show for the day with our friends the Peinados. We had quite an experience. Colton was in high gear from the moment we got there. We started out by seeing the placenta from a baby calf that was born just an hour before we got there. That just about put Rob over the edge! Ha Ha! We saw lots of new born babies including pigs born yesterday and some baby goats. We were kind of glad we didn't get there earlier, because any of the animals that give birth there, just have the baby right there on display for all to see. A little too up close and personal for a family outing. Next we moved on the the baby chickens and roosters. Colton was less than impressed. All he wanted to see was a horsey...and he told us so repeatedly. He did stop worrying about the horsey long enough to terrorize some animals in the petting zoo, first by jumping bare back on a goat ready to ride and then giving a deer a hug around the neck. Those of you lucky enough to have had a hug from Colton know that this can be dangerous. After chasing him for a while in the petting area, we took him to a pretend hill they had created for kids to roll down. That was funny let me tell you. It took Colton a while to get his roll straight, and he only took a few people out as he went down. We headed outside for the rest of our action and were finally greeted head on by a ring of pony rides. Colton went into hysterics and we hurried him to the line not really sure what he would do once he was actually on the pony. Much to my surprise, he did it like a pro and even yelled yee-haw many times as he was riding. Maybe we have a cowboy in the making. Mom might have to break down and buy a pair of cowboy boots after all. We let the kids ride some rides including making Allie ride an elephant ride with Colton. She kept saying she felt dumb being on a baby ride. Just doing what a good big sister does! Colton didn't make it much longer after that. I noticed his head drooping and he was out like a light. We had a great afternoon!

IT'S RODEO TIME!!!

We had a lot of fun this week with rodeo activities. Allie dressed as a cowgirl for school and her class rotated through stations. Her favorite was milking a cow which they had rubber gloves filled with water hanging and the kids had to squirt the water into buckets. We also went to the rodeo to see Reba in concert. Allie knew who she was because of the tv show I watch all the time. She got so excited about the music just because she could see how excited I was. We went with our best girlfriends Robin and Lilibeth. Allie was excited to finally wear a pair of rodeo boots that were given to us last year. Allie also made a rodeo project for school. It still amazes me some of the ideas she comes up with on these projects and I might as well give up on trying to sway her from her idea! It was a fun week that was made even better by the fact that it is now SPRING BREAK!!!! We are ready for some rest and relaxation!

We had a good valentine's day! We went to eat with Daddy last night at Rico's. Daddy wasn't here today because he had to head back to work, so we had a valentine lunch with our best friends. Here is a picture of my and my sweet little valentine! Allie had a blast with her friends but Colton was there for his momma!

We had a busy weekend! Allie had a project for school that took her all day Saturday. She was so excited to do it by herself! She didn't even want me to use the hot glue gun for her. Then on Sunday we went to a dance showcase for Allie's dance. She had a lot of fun, and has decided she definitely wants to do competition again this year. Colton made us all laugh when he put on a dress from one of Allie's bears and ran onto the gym floor saying "I gotta dance!!" It was really cute.
